A lion walking in the forest suddenly stepped on a thorn that then stuck in his legs. Soon a Pastor passed by. The Lion leaned down, and wagged his tail slowly, showing his stubborn feet, as if to say "Please, help me." The brave shepherd approached and examined his legs. He found the thorn that stuck, then pulled it out carefully. The Lion was relieved that the painful thorn was gone. He then stepped back into the woods.

A few months later, the Shepherd had a problem. He was arrested for allegedly committing a crime he never did. He would then be put to death, in a way "put in a fierce lion cage." But when the Shepherd is put in the lion's den, the lion does not attack him. The lion even approached the Shepherd, and put his feet on his lap. It turns out that the lion is the Lion he once helped by pulling the thorns off his feet.

The strange occurrence of the news spread throughout the kingdom. In fact, the King also heard about the incident. He then ordered that the Lion be released back into the forest, and the Shepherd was released from punishment.
